Christine Lee is an American recording artist/actress whose musical style fuses today’s electric dance pop style with retro. Her tracks are melodic, danceable, fun, and meaningful - refreshingly balancing techno synth sounds with edgy pop/rock guitar.
Christine’s musical style is inspired by Carle Rae Jepsen, whose album, Emotion, was influenced by pop and dance music from the 1980s and albums by Madonna and Cyndi Lauper. She loves the Go-Go’s and Hilary Duff for their hip California style. Her sonic artistry is also influenced by Blondie, whose eclectic mix of musical styles incorporated elements of disco, new wave, and europop. Many of Christine’s songs were written on a MIDI sequencer, enabling synthesizer arpeggiations, modulation, and digital delays to be synced to drum tracks – production techniques inspired by The Human League, Duran Duran, and Berlin.
Christine sees her music as an opportunity to brighten up someone’s day or to inspire one to become a better person. “Music affects your heart and soul. If you want to be happy, listening to fun positive music definitely helps out.” Christine's session guitarist is Tim Pierce, who has recorded for the likes of Michael Jackson and Madonna. Her mixdown and mastering recording engineers are Grammy Award winner Tom Weir and Konstantin Podyachev.
Christine's outlook on life is simple and yet profound: When things go wrong, gather yourself together, and keep going forward. The album is an artistic manifestation of Christine’s life motto: “Light a candle rather than curse the dark.” Her songs both entertain and inspire.
